As a long time supporter of Clinical Research, Congressman Paul Tonko will visit Neurological Associates of Albany on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Congressman Tonko has been a strong advocate, at both the local and national legislative levels, for finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease through the research work performed at Neurological Associates of Albany by Dr. Richard Holub and his team of professionals.
After a tour of the Research Division, Dr. Holub will present Congressman Tonko with a plaque in recognition of and appreciation for the Congressman’s many years of partnering to advance Alzheimer’s research, as well as education, on this epidemic.
Alzheimer’s disease currently affects approximately 5.4 million Americans and costs taxpayers an estimated $153 billion annually in Medicare and Medicaid expenses. Globally, Alzheimer’s disease affects an estimated 44 million people and that number is expected to grow to about 135 million by 2010.
Neurological Associates of Albany, P.C. is honored by Congressman Tonko’s visit and looks forward to sharing with him its research initiatives currently under way.

MARCH 23rd – ALZHEIMER’S LECTURE, UPDATE, & SCREENING EVENT

Research in Alzheimer's disease is moving at a rapid pace. At the Neurological Associates of Albany we have been engaged in the process of Alzheimer's disease research for over 30 years. All five drugs which have been FDA approved for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease have been studied at our Research Office.
